Armen Hambardzumyan

Coach of Traditional Wushu Federation in RA. Founder-member of Sanda-Wushu. The founder of Xingyi Quan style in Armenia


Armen Hambardzumyan was born in 1966 in Yerevan city. In 1989 graduated from the State Institute of Physical Culture, the Department of coaching judo and sambo. Since 1988 he had an active participation in the development of wushu in Armenia. Since 1990 he has been the sanda-wushu team general coach of RA Traditional Wushu Federation . He has brought up gold, silver and bronze medal winners in RA , UIS and in a number of International tournaments. 2011-2014 he has studied at Chinese Traditional Wushu professor Mao Mingchun. He qualified in coaching internal styles and received a permition to teach Xingyi Quan, Baguazhang, Taiji Quan, Biangan (short stick) and Dragon sword. In China he has passed a coaching qualification and received appropriate certificates. In 2013 he has become a champion in Xingyi Quan style and a bronze medalist in Biangan (short stick) style of Fushan Cup and the 28th Shanxi Traditional Martial Arts Championship. In 2016 he has become a champion in Xingyi Quan style of International Wushu Championship in Armenia.
